Before & After Results in Seongsu, Seoul
What realistic change looks like, and how we measure it honestly at Seongsu Melting Clinic
Many clinics lead with dramatic before & after photos. At Seongsu Melting Clinic in Seongsu, Seoul, we would rather show you what realistic change looks like and explain how we track it for you personally. We do not publish a gallery of patient photos here, and we do not use stock images that pretend to be results.
Instead, this page explains how we photograph your skin and face at consultation, why two people rarely get the same result from the same treatment, and roughly when each family of treatments tends to show change.
What are before & after results, really?
A before & after comparison is only useful when the two photos are taken the same way. Lighting, camera angle, distance, facial expression, makeup, and even how much water you drank that day can make skin look better or worse. A photo taken under a warm ring light after a facial can look like a miracle next to a flat, overhead-lit photo taken on a tired morning. That is not a treatment result; that is photography.
Real results in aesthetic medicine are usually gradual. Collagen remodels over weeks to months. Swelling after an injection can hide or exaggerate change in the first days. A fair comparison waits for the right time point and controls the conditions.
How we document results at Seongsu Melting Clinic
Dr. Park Kyung-min handles your visit personally, from consultation to finish. When a treatment is likely to change contour, texture, or tone, we take baseline photos before anything is done, using consistent positions and the same room setup. At follow-up, we repeat the same views so you can judge the change yourself rather than relying on memory.
- Same angles: front, both 45-degree views, and side profiles for the face; standardized views for body areas treated with MelFat.
- Same conditions: clean skin, neutral expression, similar lighting and distance.
- Your photos stay yours: we use them for your care and do not post them without your clear permission.
A good fit if…
- You want a measured, gradual improvement rather than a completely different face.
- You are willing to come back for a follow-up comparison at the recommended time.
- You understand that one treatment may be one step in a longer plan.
Consider something else if…
- You expect surgical-level change from a non-surgical treatment.
- You need a visible result for an event only a day or two away and the treatment has swelling or healing time.
- You are pregnant or have an active skin infection in the area; most treatments wait until later.
What to expect: typical timelines by treatment family
These are general patterns, not promises. Results vary with age, skin quality, lifestyle, and how many sessions you have.
- Lifting devices (ONDA, InMode, Shurink Universe, Ultherapy Prime and others): some patients notice a tighter feel early, but collagen-related change usually builds over the following weeks to months.
- Skin boosters (Rejuran, Juvelook, Lilied M and others): each session takes about 30 minutes; texture and glow tend to improve gradually, often over a series of sessions.
- MelFat injections: swelling comes first, so early photos can look fuller. Change in local fat is judged after the swelling settles, and some areas need more than one session.
- HA fillers: shape is visible right away, but swelling can distort it for several days; hyaluronic acid filler typically lasts about 6 to 12 months.
- Lasers for pigment and texture: usually a series of sessions, with gradual change and a real chance of recurrence for conditions like melasma.
Aftercare that protects your result
- Use sunscreen daily; sun exposure can undo pigment and texture work.
- Follow the treatment-specific instructions you receive, especially after injections.
- Keep your follow-up appointment so we can compare photos under the same conditions.
- Tell us early if anything feels unusual, rather than waiting for the next visit.
A note from Dr. Park
Dr. Park often tells patients that honest care starts with honest expectations. He explains before treating and keeps talking during the procedure so nothing feels like a surprise, and he uses genuine products at the exact dose. He would rather under-promise and have you notice a steady improvement in your own follow-up photos than show you someone else's most flattering photo.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't you show patient before & after photos online?
Patient photos are personal medical information, and online galleries are easy to over-edit or cherry-pick. We prefer to show you your own standardized photos at follow-up, where you can see real change under the same conditions.
How soon will I see results?
It depends on the treatment. Fillers show shape right away, while lifting devices, boosters, and fat-reduction injections usually change gradually over weeks. Dr. Park will give you a realistic time point for your follow-up comparison.
Will my result look like someone else's?
Probably not exactly. Face structure, skin thickness, fat distribution, and age all shape the outcome. That is why we assess your face or body first and plan around it.
