Skin Hydration Therapy in Seongsu, Seoul

Hydration from inside and out: HA boosters paired with O2derm or Aqua peel

Dry skin is rarely a single-layer problem. At Seongsu Melting Clinic in Seongsu, Seoul, skin hydration therapy combines hydrating injections that work inside the skin with gentle clinic facials that prepare and soothe the surface.

What is skin hydration therapy?

Hydrated skin depends on two things. Deeper down, the skin needs enough water-binding molecules such as hyaluronic acid. At the surface, it needs a healthy barrier so that moisture is not lost quickly. When either side is off, skin can look dull, feel tight, and show fine lines more easily.

Skin hydration therapy addresses both. An injectable booster adds hydration within the skin, while a facial such as oxygen therapy or an Aqua peel clears buildup and calms the surface so the skin looks fresher right away.

How we approach skin hydration therapy at Seongsu Melting Clinic

Dr. Park typically builds hydration therapy from two parts:

  • Inside the skin: Skinvive, Rebive (glycerol plus hyaluronic acid), or Lilied M water-glow booster
  • On the surface: O2derm oxygen therapy, which delivers high-concentration oxygen and negative ions, or the Aqua peel for gentle cleansing and exfoliation

Which combination you get depends on your skin. Oily, congested skin that still feels tight often does well with an Aqua peel first. Sensitive or recently treated skin may prefer the calmer O2derm. Skincare sessions take place in private one-person rooms, and injections are handled separately by Dr. Park, so each step has its own space and pace.

A good fit if…

  • Your skin feels tight, dry, or dull most of the time
  • Your skin gets dehydrated from travel, air conditioning, or heating
  • You want a refresh with little or no downtime
  • You have fine lines that are mostly from dryness

Consider something else if…

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding (injectable part)
  • You have active infection, cold sores, or inflamed acne on the day
  • Your dryness comes from an untreated skin condition such as eczema that needs medical care first
  • You mainly want lifting or volume

What to expect

Your visit begins with a consultation. If a facial is included, it is usually done first in a private skincare room. The booster injection, done by Dr. Park, usually takes around 30 minutes after numbing.

Facials are generally comfortable. The injection feels like small pinches. Mild redness and small bumps usually settle within a day, and most people return to normal routines the same day. Hydration results tend to need regular maintenance, and Dr. Park will suggest a schedule that fits your skin and your travel plans. Pricing is explained at consultation.

Aftercare

  • Keep skincare simple: gentle cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen
  • Avoid makeup on injection points for the rest of the day
  • Skip saunas and intense exercise for a day or two
  • Drink enough water and consider a humidifier in dry environments
  • Hold off on strong acids or retinoids for a few days

A note from Dr. Park

Dr. Park often tells patients that he would rather explain everything before treatment than surprise them during it. In hydration therapy that means walking through which part addresses the barrier and which addresses deeper hydration, so patients understand why the plan has two steps and can decide for themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need both the facial and the injection?

Not always. Some patients do well with one or the other. Dr. Park will explain what each part adds for your skin.

Is it suitable before an event?

It can be, since downtime is usually minimal. Allow a few days for any small bumps or bruises to settle.

How often should I repeat it?

It depends on your skin and the product. Hydration boosters generally need maintenance, and facials can be repeated more often.
