Non-Invasive Skin Lifting in Seongsu, Seoul

Comparing microwave, RF, HIFU and ultrasound lifting at Seongsu Melting Clinic

Non-invasive skin lifting means firming and lifting the face without incisions or needles. At Seongsu Melting Clinic in Seoul, we have several lifting devices, and Dr. Park Kyung-min chooses among them only after examining the structure of your face. This page compares the options so you can see how they differ.

What is non-invasive skin lifting?

Non-invasive lifting uses energy, such as microwaves, radiofrequency, or focused ultrasound, to heat tissue beneath the skin surface. That heat can tighten existing collagen, encourage new collagen over time, and in some cases reduce small fat deposits. The outer skin stays intact, which is why downtime is usually modest.

The limits are important. These treatments work gradually, they suit mild to moderate laxity, and they do not remove excess skin the way surgery does.

Comparing the devices

  • ONDA (microwave): 3mm and 7mm handpieces; works where fat and laxity overlap, on face and body. A face session takes about 20 minutes.
  • InMode Mini FX + Forma (radiofrequency): Mini FX targets small fat pockets; Forma supports gradual skin firming. Usually no numbing cream is needed.
  • Sunny lifting (radiofrequency): two modes, PULSAR and SUNNY (6.78MHz), used for tightening and overall skin quality.
  • Shurink Universe (HIFU): dot and line modes with seven cartridges, including Ultra F and the Ultra Booster pen for detailed areas.
  • Ultherapy Prime (MFU-V): imaging-guided, with DeepSee visualization up to 8mm and depths of 1.5, 3.0, and 4.5mm reaching the SMAS.
  • Lapera Pro (shockwave): three handpieces, sometimes added as a supporting step.

How we approach non-invasive lifting at Seongsu Melting Clinic

Our approach is face-structure first. Dr. Park palpates the retaining ligaments, feels where fat is heavy or has descended, and checks skin thickness. That exam answers three questions: Is the problem fat, laxity, volume loss, or a mix? Which layer needs the energy? And which areas should be left alone?

A heavy jawline might suit ONDA or Mini FX alongside HIFU. A thin, lax face might suit Forma, Sunny lifting, or SMAS-level ultrasound without fat reduction. If volume loss is the main cause, lifting devices alone may disappoint, and he may suggest boosters instead.

A good fit if…

  • You have mild to moderate sagging and want to avoid surgery
  • You need to return to work or travel soon after treatment
  • You understand that results build gradually
  • You are open to maintenance sessions

Consider something else if…

  • You are pregnant, or have an active infection or wound on the face
  • You have an implanted electronic device, which may rule out certain RF options
  • You have significant excess skin that only surgery can remove
  • Your main concern is volume loss rather than laxity

What to expect

Dr. Park handles your consultation and treatment one-to-one. He explains the plan beforehand and talks you through the session. Sensations vary by device, from warmth to brief prickling. Mild redness and swelling usually settle within hours to a few days, and most people resume their routine right away. Changes usually appear over weeks to a few months. Results vary.

Aftercare

  • Use gentle, hydrating skincare for a few days
  • Wear sunscreen daily
  • Skip saunas and very hot baths on the day of treatment
  • Contact us if tenderness or swelling does not steadily improve

A note from Dr. Park

Dr. Park often tells patients that he would rather spend extra minutes feeling the face than pick a device by habit. Understanding the structure first is what lets him explain why one device fits and another does not, and why sometimes the honest answer is a different kind of treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Which non-invasive lifting device is strongest?

There is no single answer. Each device works at different depths and on different tissues. The right choice depends on your face.

Can I combine more than one device?

Often, yes. Combining devices is the idea behind our premium laser lifting, but only when the exam supports it.

Is non-invasive lifting safe for all skin types?

Energy-based lifting generally targets tissue below the surface, but safety depends on your health history and skin. We review this at consultation.
