Secret RF is a microneedle fractional radiofrequency device, and it is one of the core texture tools at Seongsu Melting Clinic. People often call it the "Secret laser," although strictly speaking it uses radiofrequency energy rather than laser light.

What is the Secret RF laser?
"Fractional" means the device treats a grid of tiny points instead of the entire surface. Between each point, untreated skin remains, which helps the area heal more quickly. Each point is reached by a fine insulated needle that releases RF energy at a set depth.
The result is a pattern of small heated zones deep in the skin. As they heal, the skin produces new collagen, which may improve scars, pore appearance and firmness over time. Because the surface is mostly spared, downtime is usually shorter than with ablative resurfacing such as a fractional CO2 laser.

What to expect
Dr. Park meets you, examines your skin and explains the plan. Numbing cream is applied, then treatment begins. You will feel heat and a prickling sensation, and the team keeps talking with you throughout.

Aftercare
- Keep the area clean and moisturized

- Hold off on retinoids, peels and scrubs for several days
- Apply sunscreen daily
- Avoid saunas, hot baths and alcohol for a short time

Frequently asked questions
Is Secret RF a laser?
Not technically. It uses radiofrequency delivered through microneedles. The word "laser" is used informally because it is often grouped with laser treatments.
How is it different from a CO2 laser?
A fractional CO2 laser removes tiny columns of surface tissue, which usually means more peeling and downtime. Secret RF spares much of the surface and heats deeper tissue, so recovery tends to be lighter.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Often, yes. Skin boosters, MiraJet or lifting treatments may be planned alongside Secret RF, depending on your skin. Dr. Park will suggest timing.
