Lapera Pro Lifting in Seongsu, Seoul
Shockwave lifting with three handpieces for jawline, puffiness and pores
Lapera Pro is a shockwave-based lifting treatment offered at Seongsu Melting Clinic in Seongsu, Seoul. Instead of heat, it uses mechanical pulses delivered through three different handpieces, and many patients find it a lower-discomfort way to work on jawline definition, puffiness and pores.
What is Lapera Pro?
Shockwave treatment sends rapid acoustic pressure waves into tissue. With Lapera Pro, these waves are directed toward the SMAS, the supportive layer beneath the skin and fat that surgeons tighten during a facelift. The aim is to stimulate that layer and the surrounding tissue, support lymphatic circulation so fluid does not pool, and encourage firmer-looking skin. Because it is not heat-based, it feels quite different from RF or HIFU devices.
Three handpieces
Lapera Pro has three handpieces, which lets the treatment be adjusted to different areas and depths on the face, such as along the jawline, across the cheeks or over areas with enlarged pores.
How we approach Lapera Pro at Seongsu Melting Clinic
Dr. Park examines face structure first, feeling for ligaments and fat, before choosing any lifting device. Lapera Pro often suits faces where puffiness or fluid retention blurs the jawline, or where someone wants lifting and pore refinement without the heat of other devices. It can be used on its own or combined with other tools as part of the clinic's premium laser lifting.
A good fit if…
- Your jawline looks soft or puffy rather than heavily sagging
- You notice facial swelling or a "heavy" look in the mornings
- You are concerned about enlarged pores alongside mild laxity
- You prefer a lower-discomfort treatment with little downtime
Consider something else if…
- You are pregnant
- You have an active skin infection or inflammation in the area
- You have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners (please discuss at consultation)
- Your laxity is significant, where threads, stronger lifting or surgery may be more realistic
What to expect
After consultation, the handpieces are passed over each area in turn. You will feel tapping or pulsing rather than heat, and Dr. Park explains each step as he goes. Mild redness may appear and usually settles quickly, so most people return to their plans the same day. Some patients notice a less puffy look soon after; firming develops over time. A series of sessions is commonly suggested, with maintenance afterward. Results vary.
Aftercare
- Drink plenty of water to support circulation
- Use a gentle moisturizer and daily sunscreen
- Avoid saunas and intense exercise on the day of treatment
- Hold off on strong exfoliants for a couple of days
- Contact the clinic if tenderness or redness does not settle
A note from Dr. Park
Dr. Park often tells patients that not every soft jawline is a sagging jawline. Some of it is fluid, some is fat, some is laxity, and each points to a different tool. When puffiness and pores are a large part of the picture, Lapera Pro is one of the options he considers after examining the face.
Frequently asked questions
Is Lapera Pro painful?
Most people find it comfortable, describing a tapping sensation. Sensitivity differs, and the settings can be adjusted.
Can Lapera Pro replace HIFU?
They work differently. HIFU focuses heat at set depths, while Lapera Pro uses shockwaves. Some faces benefit from one, some from a combination.
Is there downtime?
Usually very little. Mild redness may be visible briefly.
